This 1986.5 Porsche 928S is finished in India red (guards red) over a black leather interior and is powered by a 5.0 liter V8 paired with the rare and desirable 5 speed manual transaxle.
Features include GTS wheels, cruise control, sunroof and the rare sport steering wheel. The 928S shows 96,903 miles and is original, has factory literature,
service records, clean title. The exterior is finished in Indischrot (G1), trim includes a chin spoiler, a three piece rubberized rear spoiler, rear window wiper and North American market lighting. The 1986.5 928S is reported one of only 2,010 built and one of less than 25 fitted with the manual 5 speed transmission, the car also has the larger four piston brakes and other mechanical upgrades of the upcoming S4 such as the 32 valve 5.0 motor, while retaining the lighter chassis of the previous models making this 928S and rare and desirable car.
The 17 inch GTS alloys wear Falken Ziex ZE 950 tires which have less than 500 miles on them. The car has had one factory repaint in the original
Guards Red, the car was taken down to bare metal with all factory trim removed and professionally resprayed in a two stage paint. The car has also had several services performed which include the following: complete factory ZF steering rack rebuild and well as power steering pump, new inner and outer tie rods, full tune up including, full plugs, wires and rotor, new mass air flow sensor and fuel regulator, full injector service which includes all new replacement of all 8 injectors with seals (all receipts), while these services were being performed the timing belt and water pump was checked and inspected at this time, the car runs excellent, shifts well, clutch is tight, shifter has a little
play in it but shifts well, car is very powerful and performs like a 928S should, it does not drip any fluids what so ever or smoke, The interior is the factory black leather and is in above average condition with no dry rot, rips or tears, the dash is excellent with no cracks.
The carpets and headliner are also excellent with minimal ware. It also has the factory 928 books and all service records. Overall this car is ready to get in and drive it is not a trailer queen but a low mileage excellent driver. the car has been in climate controlled storage.
