Porsche 928S 5-Speed Coupe finished in rare and stunning Meteor Metallic over Burgundy leather.
This is the rare final year 928S and is the latter half year model with the S4 brakes and suspension and the 5.0 liter 32 valve engine. This 928S left the Stuttgart production line in November of 1985 and then invoiced to Porsche North America and
sold new on January 24, 1986 at Porsche Audi Manhattan. The car has been owned by a Porsche certified mechanic since the early 1990âs and has been meticulously maintained since new and has traveled a mere 49,947 documented miles from new. The car is in all original condition from top to bottom even down to the original Blaupunkt Porsche radio.
The original Meteor Metallic paint is in exceptional condition still retaining a beautiful deep luster and shine with just a few small stone chips in the front nose. All of the exterior trim is in excellent near new condition showing minimal consistent age. The original Porsche wheels are in excellent condition still retaining a nice polished
shine and newer tires on all four corners. The interior is exceptional; the original leather is soft to the touch and in excellent condition showing absolutely minimal wear only to the driver seat bolster.
The dashboard is all original and has zero damage, shrinkage or cracking anywhere. All of the trim and switchgear are in excellent condition showing almost no signs of age or wear aside from some very light fade on the shift knob. All of the carpets are original and in stain free condition. The 32 valve 5.0 liter V8 was the new upgraded engine for the 928 and this one starts right up and idles beautifully. The car has had a recent timing belt and water pump service. The engine does
not smoke under start up or under acceleration and does not leak any fluids.
The clutch is new and the gearbox pulls very smooth and strong through all of the gears. The steering is nice and tight and tracks down the road smoothly and straight without any pulls or vibrations. The car has a new brake master cylinder and good brake pad life left so the car brakes smoothly and free from any vibrations. All of the electrical components are working as designed including the windows, locks, seats, sunroof, headlights, interior lights, dash lights, exterior lights, turn signals, brake lights, taillights, reverse lights, door lights, rear hatch light and glove box light.
There is absolutely no rust or damage anywhere on the car and no signs of any accident history anywhere. The car comes with a clean and documented Carfax. The original tool kit, jack, spare, spare cover, rear mat, 7 Porsche keys, original handbook and service booklet, original booklet pouch and service records and rear trunk cover are all present with the car. This is an excellent opportunity to acquire a very rare, original, low mileage 5-Speed 928S that has been meticulously maintained and cared for since new.
