A solid example of an original, low VIN (1971 build), and numbers-matching early 2002tii in classically-German polaris metallic/silver, as delivered new.
Powered by the 2.0L Kugelfischer M10 inline four mated to the original four-speed manual, this is an increasingly desirable early BMW touring car with the less common and original blue interior,
original radio and BMW wheels (with spare). The car has been scarcely modified and maintains all the qualities for which it was originally sought from its first year of production. Maintenance has been sustained since 2011, the car has recently benefited from a inspection and respectful refresh: New starter (2011) New front calipers and rotors (2017) New rear brake shoes (2017) The kugelfischer system was recently inspected and tuned (2017) New fuel lines linking the injectors and fuel pump (2014) Injectors were completely rebuilt by an outfit out of Chicago in (2014) Injector pump synchronizer linkage replaced (2017) New intake air tubes (2014) Replacement plugs, wires, coil and Pertronix ignition
installed (2014) Aftermarket sunroof removed and replaced with correct complete O.
E. roof, reinforcement hoop installed and seams leaded. A new headliner installed in conjunction (2017) The 2017 Inspection was quite thorough and the above list may not include all components adjusted, corrected or replaced.
Odometer reads 64985 miles. The car has been driven little but well looked after since the above works were done - it drives solid, pulls strong and is a pleasure to drive.
