Aston Martin produced the first generation V12 Vanquish from 2001 to 2007. Designed by Ian Callum, the V12 Vanquish was the larger, more powerful and more expensive grand touring option over the DB7. Its most direct competitor at the time was the Ferrari 550 Maranello. Like the Maranello, the Vanquish is a front engine V12 coupe with two seats. Also like the Maranello, Aston Martin never made a production convertible.
